The Leland Cubs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell 51-43 to Humphreys County. Leland lost against Humphreys County in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 67-48 score last time.
Humphreys County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was King Scrivens , who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Scotty Bronson, who scored 13 points.
Leland's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Humphreys County, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Leland's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Riverside at 6:00 p.m. on December 1st. Riverside will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line. As for Humphreys County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Greenville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Greenville is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 52.3 points per game.
