Soccer Recap: Maywood CES Plays to a Tie

For the first time since back in December of 2024, Maywood CES was forced to settle for a draw on Monday. Neither they nor the Maywood Academy Nighthawks could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 3-3 draw. While a more conclusive result would've been nice, the Wolfpack got plenty of practice considering the match was the highest-scoring draw the team's played all season.

Joanna Rosas and Janely Gonzalez scored all three of Maywood CES's goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

Maywood CES's draw gives them a new season record of 9-5-4. As for Maywood Academy, they moved theirs to 4-6-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Maywood CES will head out to take on Marquez at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Marquez has won three straight at home, while Maywood CES won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for Maywood Academy, they will venture away from home to challenge Elizabeth at 2:30 p.m. on Monday.
