Allen has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Little Elm Lobos at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Allen knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 32 matches -- so hopefully the Lobos like a good challenge.
Even though Prosper scored an imposing 82 points on Friday, Allen still came out on top. Allen took down the Eagles 96-82. Given Allen's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Eagles are ranked 256th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Little Elm pushed their score all the way to 59 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 68-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Braswell. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Little Elm in their matchups with the Bengals: they've now lost six in a row.
Allen's victory bumped their record up to 27-5. As for Little Elm, they now have a losing record at 14-15.
Allen took their win against the Lobos when the teams last played back in January by a conclusive 76-56. The rematch might be a little tougher for Allen since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
