The Oswego Indians won the last time they faced the Chetopa Hornets, and things went their way on Thursday too. Oswego simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Chetopa 65-26 at home. With that win, Oswego brought their scoring average up to 51.3 points per game.
Oswego can attribute much of their success to Tanner O'Neal, who scored 23 points along with 9 steals. Another player making a difference was Josh Hutchinson, who scored 11 points along with 5 rebounds.
Oswego now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Chetopa, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oswego will face off against St. Paul at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Chetopa, they will head out on the road to face off against Tyro Christian on Tuesday.
