Joshua Weaver put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in April of 2024 on Wednesday. He didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

Weaver's strong effort led Dougherty over Monroe and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
