If the Taylor Wildcats were riding high off their 75-36 takedown of the Ocala Christian Crusaders on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Taylor took a 64-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Crescent City on Tuesday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Taylor in their matchups with Crescent City: they've now lost four in a row.
Taylor's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was James Thomas, who scored 16 points. The matchup was Thomas' fifth in a row with at least ten points. Nikko Dozier was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Taylor's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Crescent City, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Taylor will face off against Crooms Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Crescent City, they will head out on the road to face off against St. Augustine at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
