The Beachside Barracudas had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 35.7 points), and they went ahead and made it eight on Friday. They claimed a resounding 49-0 win over North Florida Educational Institute at home. Considering Beachside has won seven contests by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Beachside found their leader in underclassman Edward Jordan, who threw for 178 yards and four touchdowns. Beachside also got help from Cohen Beebe who showed off his sure hands for 81 receiving yards.
Beachside's victory was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-1. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 43.33 points. As for North Florida Educational Institute, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
Beachside will look to defend their home field on Friday against Providence School at 7:00 p.m. As for North Florida Educational Institute, they will head out on the road to face off against Dixie County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
