The Pisgah Dragons will take on the Florence Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Pisgah is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.
On Friday, Pisgah needed a bit of extra time to put away St. Andrew's Episcopal. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 victory over the Saints.

Coleson Steed was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jackson Carlisle, who went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Meanwhile, Florence had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They never let the Gators get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by ten runs or more this season.
Florence got a massive performance out of Austin Pickett, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Pickett has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryan Davis, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.
Florence was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .571. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in five consecutive games.
Florence's victory bumped their record up to 13-10-2. As for Pisgah, their win bumped their record up to 19-7-2.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Pisgah has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Florence struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went Pisgah's way against Florence when the teams last played back in February, as Pisgah made off with a 10-3 victory. Do the Dragons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
