The Beaufort Eagles won the last time they faced the Hanahan Hawks, and things went their way on Friday too. Beaufort enjoyed a cozy 50-33 victory over Hanahan. That 17 points margin sets a new team best for Beaufort this season.
Beaufort was led to victory by Brandon Blackmon and Samari Bonds. Blackmon dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds, while Bonds scored 18 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Blackmon has scored all season. Guerin Willis was another key contributor, scoring four points along with seven rebounds.
Despite the loss, Hanahan still got an impressive performance from Jonah Auckenthaler, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.
The victory got Beaufort back to even at 8-8. As for Hanahan, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 6-13.
Beaufort will take on Philip Simmons at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hanahan, they will head out on the road to take on North Charleston at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
