Power Center Academy took a 65-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Germantown on Saturday. Power Center Academy lost against Germantown in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 75-61 score last time.
Power Center Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Marquis Tunstall, who scored 18 points, and Nazir Allen who scored 12 points along with 8 rebounds. The contest was Allen's third in a row with at least ten points. Cardale Manual was another key contributor, scoring 7 points.
Power Center Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Germantown, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.
Power Center Academy will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against KIPP Collegiate at 7:30 p.m. KIPP Collegiate is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Germantown, they will head out on the road to face off against Memphis Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
