Tuff Street Crosses Big Stat Threshold
LaSalle was led to victory by Tuff Street, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Street rushed for 185 yards and five touchdowns on only 15 carries, and also threw for 20 yards and a touchdown. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (108.7). His passing game has become a key predictor of LaSalle's success: the team is 2-1 when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise.
The victory (which was LaSalle's third in a row) raised their record to 3-3. Street and LaSalle will head out on the road to square off against Northwood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

On Friday, Montgomery got the W thanks in part to Jacorian Shepherd playing the best football he has all season. Shepherd rushed for 293 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 14.0 yards per carry. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (104.3).
The win got Montgomery back to even at 3-3. Shepherd and Montgomery are taking a road trip to challenge St. Mary on Friday.
