Biddeford has gone a perfect 10-0 against Cheverus recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Tigers will square off against the Stags at 4:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Biddeford's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. Everything went their way against Scarborough as they made off with an 8-0 win. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Not much got past Madi Roy, who gave up just six hits to keep Scarborough off the board.
At the plate, Biddeford got a big performance out of Jaylah Trottier, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Small, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Biddeford was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Cheverus put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on Westbrook with a sharp 17-2 victory.
Hailey Lamontagne was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high.
Cheverus pushed their record up to 11-0 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Biddeford, their record now sits at 7-4.
Both Biddeford and Cheverus just can't seem to miss. The Tigers have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11.4 hits per game. However, it's not like Cheverus struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 2.6 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Biddeford beat Cheverus 11-6 when the teams last played back in June of 2023. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Stags have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
