Baseball Game Preview: Mukwonago Indians vs. Badger Badgers

The Mukwonago Indians will head out to challenge the Badger Badgers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Mukwonago's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Badger's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Mukwonago will head out to face Badger after giving up their first home loss of the season on Thursday. The Indians took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Waukesha North.

Easton Ahrens was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Adam Kudronowicz was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI. That run was his first of the season.

Badger came out on top against Waterford on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run third inning. The Badgers were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over the Wolverines. The result was nothing new for the Badgers, who have now won four matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Riley Lussmyer was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

Lussmyer wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Albanese, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

The loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 5-3. As for Badger, their record now sits at 7-4.

Mukwonago couldn't quite get it done against Badger when the teams last played back in May of 2024 as they fell 4-0. Can the Indians avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
