2A District 1 recap Oct. 23, 2012
Caldwell County extended the longest winning streak in 2A District 1 this week by beating Crittenden County, 49-0. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
Murray led the league in scoring this week after putting up 62 points on Reidland.
Reidland's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Greyhounds feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Alex Almon has thrown for 161 yards this season, while Cody McClintock has four catches for 75 yards. Austin Ringstaff leads the league in rushing with 321 yards.
The Greyhounds made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 12,479 from 12,761. The improvement came about via a 62-0 victory over Reidland last week.
