Lake Placid moved up to 475 from 501 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 4A District 6. A 48-26 win over the Dragons helped the Dragons improve their standing.
Lake Placid made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 11,329 from 12,128. The improvement was the result of 48-26 victory over Jason Holden's team last week.
Dunbar's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Daniel Cobb threw for 230 and two touchdowns and Joe Williams had 89 yards receiving. On the ground Rante' Baker chipped in 121 yards. Johnell Barnes helped Dunbar's passing attack out by catching six balls for 86 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Avon Park takes on Clewiston. The Red Devils are in third place, while the Tigers are in fifth place.
Clewiston led the league in scoring this week after putting up 42 points on Booker.
