The Scott City Rams will stay at home for another  game and welcome the Valle Catholic Warriors at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
 Last Thursday, Scott City made easy work of Charleston  and carried off  an  18-3 victory.
  Alyssa Dirden and  Harley Glueck did most of the damage at the plate:  Dirden  went 2-for-2 with two  runs, a  triple,  and a  stolen base, while  Glueck  went 2-for-2 with three  runs, a  triple,  and two  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Lily Elders, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, Valle Catholic entered their tilt with Oak Ridge with three consecutive wins  but they'll enter their next game with four. They were the clear victor by  a  14-1 margin over the Blue Jays on Friday.
  Abreeana Zipprich made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she  struck out 11 batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned run off   one  hit (and only one walk). Zipprich was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
 In other batting news,  Adelyn Weiler was  incredible,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Makayla Joggerst, who  went 2-for-4 with a  triple and two  RBI.
 Scott City has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 14 of their last 15 contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record  this season. As for Valle Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 15-4.
