A Season-Best Performance from Thomas Doxtader Leads Lee Williams over Coconino
Sadly, Thomas Doxtader posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Lee Williams over Coconino on Friday. Doxtader picked up 141 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 80 yards and a touchdown. He torched the secondary when he pulled down a catch that went for 85 yards.
Lee Williams is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6. Doxtader and Lee Williams will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Flagstaff at 7:00 p.m. on October 25th.

Fernando Ramirez Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Fernando Ramirez produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Coconino to the win on Friday. Ramirez rushed for 162 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.7 yards per carry, and also picked up 36 receiving yards. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (110) per game.
The victory got Coconino back to even at 3-3. Ramirez and Coconino will take on Apache Junction at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Colton Buckingham Has Career-Day on Friday
Coconino was led to victory by Colton Buckingham, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Buckingham threw for 200 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 passes, and also rushed for 68 yards, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
If the past is any indication, Buckingham could be in store for another big game when he takes on Apache Junction on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Buckingham saw the Prospectors), he threw for 196 yards and five touchdowns on only 13 passes.

Lee Williams Gets a Boost from Quinn in 49-26 Loss
Another Lee Williams player making an appearance on this list is Morgan Quinn. He threw for 260 yards and three touchdowns.
This year, Quinn has thrown 13 touchdowns while averaging 196.3 passing yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after seven games last season, he was only averaging 22.03 passer rating per game. This year he is averaging 92.34 passer rating.

Ethan Jeffs Delivers Best Performance of Season
Ethan Jeffs produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Coconino to the win on Friday. Jeffs picked up 81 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 55 yards.
For the season, Jeffs has caught 5 touchdowns while averaging 40.2 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 17.33 receiving yards per game.
