Taft never let their opponents score on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the McFarland Cougars. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by six runs or more this season.

Not much got past Rilynne Stenderup, who gave up just a hit and racked up 12 Ks to keep McFarland off the board.

On the hitting side, Jaycee Edgar was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs. Rylee Owens was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Taft's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-11. As for McFarland, they dropped their record down to 4-13 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coincidentally, Taft and McFarland will both be playing Delano the next time they take the field. The Cougars will head out to face the Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Wildcats will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
