On Friday Sutton take on Freeman at 7:00 PM. Both teams are strolling into their matchup after big wins in their previous games.
Everything went Sutton's way against Wilber-Clatonia last week as the team secured a 38-0 win. Senior Brett Simonsen, who rushed for 167 yards and 3 touchdowns, was a major factor in Sutton's success. One of the most memorable plays of the contest was Simonsen's 80-yard touchdown rush in the first quarter.
Meanwhile, everything went Freeman's way against St. Cecilia as they made off with a 25-0 victory.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 2-0. With both Freeman and Sutton swaggering in after impressive performances, it will be interesting to see which team steps up to teach the other some humility.
