James Monroe's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Michael Edwards, who scored 20 points, and Makel Minor who scored 19 points. Another player making a difference was Timothy Ford Jr, who scored ten points.
Roderick Magee continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Courtland, almost dropping a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Magee has scored all season. Mikhel Pulliam-jordan was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five rebounds.
James Monroe's loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-5. As for Courtland, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 15-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. James Monroe will face off against Spotsylvania at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Averaging 74.68 points so far this season, James Monroe's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Spotsylvania better be ready for a challenge. As for Courtland, they will head out on the road to take on Eastern View at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Courtland is coming into the match with five straight wins on the road, meaning Eastern View will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory.
