Killingly has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the St. Bernard Saints at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Killingly will be strutting in after a win while St. Bernard will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Wednesday, Killingly had just enough and edged Norwich Free Academy out 32-30.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for St. Bernard, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 60-45 loss to Rocky Hill on Thursday.
Killingly's victory bumped their record up to 1-2. As for St. Bernard, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
Everything came up roses for Killingly against St. Bernard when the teams last played back in January of 2020 as the team secured a 57-24 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Killingly since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
