Baseball Recap: Clark Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Clark had lost six games straight , but after bumping their record up to 7-7 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. They blew past the Roosevelt Rough Riders 19-9. Considering the Eagles have won five games by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

As for Roosevelt, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. They just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

For Roosevelt's part, Adrian Vera was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Vera is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Rigoberto Padilla Puerto, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
