Baseball Recap: First Assembly Christian Extends Winning Streak to Three

First Assembly Christian waltzed into their matchup on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Harding Academy Lions get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 12-2 win two weeks ago.

Christian Forrest was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. First Assembly Christian is undefeated when Forrest posts two or more stolen bases, but 5-17-1 otherwise. Henry Jones was another key player, going 1-for-2 with four RBI, one triple, and one run.

First Assembly Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .375 or higher in four consecutive games.

First Assembly Christian pushed their record up to 13-17-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Harding Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.

Looking ahead, First Assembly Christian will take on Evangelical Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Harding Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
