Caydin Carter made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with four stolen bases and two runs. Soper is undefeated when Carter posts two or more stolen bases, but 4-6 otherwise.
In other batting news, Wylie Marsh was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Dallin Gilbert was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run.
Soper is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season.
Soper wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 19-0 win against Milburn on the 5th. Stringtown does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
