The Pflugerville Connally Cougars lost against the University Trojans back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Pflugerville Connally took a hard 41-23 fall against University.
University's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from LaDarrius Evans, who rushed for 141 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.8 yards per carry. Armani Franklin made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to University's defense and their three sacks. Leading the way was Edgar Marquez and his two sacks.
Pflugerville Connally's defeat was their fourth straight on the road , which bumped their record down to 3-7. As for University, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
Pflugerville Connally will be playing in front of their home fans against Pflugerville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Texas (Pflugerville is ranked 635th, while Pflugerville Connally is ranked 625th). As for University, they will head out on the road to face off against Belton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Reese Rumfield and Cade Bynnom.
