The CORE Butte Lynx's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They were outmatched by Los Molinos on the road and fell 52-23. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points CORE Butte has scored all season.
Los Molinos' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Luke Cantonwine, who scored 12 points along with four steals. Cantonwine hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Karson Fox was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and 11 rebounds.
CORE Butte dropped their record down to 3-14 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Los Molinos, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-11.
CORE Butte will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Panthers at 8:00 p.m. As for Los Molinos, they will head out on the road to challenge the Wolverines at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Biggs will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
