The Western Plains Bobcats had to endure a 12-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took down Weskan 57-38 on Saturday. Western Plains' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Western Plains to victory, but perhaps none more so than Madelyn Kraus, who dropped a double-double on 37 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Kraus has scored at least a third of Western Plains' points. Jaelyn Spangler was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 14 assists.
Western Plains' win bumped their record up to 2-12. As for Weskan, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.
Western Plains will be playing in front of their home fans against the Crusaders at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Weskan is on the road again on Tuesday and plays the Bobcats at 5:00 p.m. on February 6th.
