Foothill will bounce into Thursday's game after beating Cimarron-Memorial, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. The Falcons were the clear victors by a 21-1 margin over the Spartans on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won three matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.
Foothill let Giulliano Pugliese and Steve Alvarado run wild. Pugliese went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one double, while Alvarado went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That double was Pugliese's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nolan Gifford, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and two RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Foothill kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2025.

The win made it two in a row for Foothill and bumps their season record up to 6-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.5 runs over those games. As for Boulder City, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
Boulder City's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Foothill has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .532. It's a different story for Boulder City, though, as they've only averaged .306. Will they be able to contain Foothill's hitters?
Foothill beat Boulder City 11-6 in their previous meeting back in February of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
