Montesano came tearing into  Saturday's  match with six straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.2 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by  a  16-5 margin over the College Place Hawks. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by seven  runs or more this season.

The team also got some help courtesy of  Jaelyn Butterfield, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with three  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI.
 Montesano  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .613. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as College Place only posted  an  OBP of  .360.
Montesano pushed their record up to 15-4-1 with the  win, which was their sixth straight  at home. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for College Place, their defeat  ended  a  three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 12-5.
 Looking ahead, Montesano is taking a road trip to  face off against Rochester  at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for College Place, they will venture away from home to  take on Elma  at 2:00  p.m.  on Saturday.
