There's no place like home for the Shades Valley Mounties, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Tuesday. They managed a 50-45 victory over Pleasant Grove on Friday. For Shades Valley, this counts as revenge for the 56-53 loss Pleasant Grove walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February.
Rashad Bryant was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Shades Valley's points. Jeremiah Williams was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 3 steals.
Shades Valley's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Pleasant Grove, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shades Valley will square off against Clay-Chalkville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Clay-Chalkville has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Pleasant Grove, they will head out on the road to face off against Parker at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
