Hillgrove took a three-goal defeat the last time they faced off against Campbell, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Hillgrove Hawks narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Campbell Spartans 2-1. The win was nothing new for the Hawks as they're now sitting on four straight.

Hillgrove's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Campbell, they moved to 6-2 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Coming up, Hillgrove will face off against Jackson County at 3:40 p.m. on Thursday. As for Campbell, they will take on South Cobb at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Campbell will be up against South Cobb's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.33 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
