The Chesterton Trojans will head out on the road to challenge the Hebron Hawks at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Chesterton's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
Chesterton's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They blew past La Porte 10-0. The win continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Slicers: they've now won three in a row.

Payton Cherep was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jillienne Pittman, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Lila Miller was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three runs.
Chesterton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Hebron didn't have quite enough to beat West Central on Tuesday and fell 5-4. The defeat continues a trend for the Hawks in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost three in a row.
Hadley Donovan made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Amelia Weirich, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI.
Chesterton's record now sits at 8-4. As for Hebron, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
Hebron's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Chesterton has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.4 hits per game. It's a different story for Hebron, though, as they've been averaging 10.8 hits. Given Chesterton's sizable advantage in that area, the Hawks will need to find a way to close that gap.
Chesterton got the 'W' when the teams last played back in May of 2025 against Hebron by a conclusive 17-5 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
