Given Wilbur-Creston-Keller's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 45th, while Chesterton Academy of Notre Dame is ranked 206th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Chesterton Academy of Notre Dame saw an underclassman step up: Annelise Curran scored 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Curran scored a full 88.2% of Chesterton Academy of Notre Dame's points, the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Wilbur-Creston-Keller's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0. As for Chesterton Academy of Notre Dame, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Wilbur-Creston-Keller will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Almira-Coulee-Hartline at 6:00 p.m. As for Chesterton Academy of Notre Dame, they will head out on the road to face off against Mary Walker at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
