Dakota Brasher and T. C. Hatchett provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Williams Sullivan. The longest such play in 2A Region 2 this season, the connection resulted in 71 yards.
Eupora led the league in scoring this week after putting up 55 points on Hamilton. Pittman Trey threw for 144 yards and three touchdowns in the win.
Brasher provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Ackerman beat the Yellowjackets. He completed four passes for 166 yards and one touchdown and also ran for 14 yards. Brasher's favorite target this week was Hatchett, who caught two passes for 88 yards.
Deangelo Liggins was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 18 carries, he ran for 157 yards as East Webster bested Williams Sullivan. Jack Wilson also contributed to the rushing game with 65 yards on the ground.
Tyler Doss made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Wolverines beat George. The junior pulled down two interceptions.
The Eagles' Trey and Jones Derrick have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading 2A Region 2 in both passing and receiving yards. Trey has thrown for 1097 yards this season, while Derrick has 30 catches for 593 yards. East Webster's Liggins leads the league in rushing yards with 569.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Eupora takes on Ackerman. Junior Graham's team is in first place, while Adam Dilliinger's team is in third place.
