On Friday Lenoir City take on Stone Memorial at 7:30 PM. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Lenoir City have had to suffer through a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They made easy work of Walker Valley last Friday and carried off a 47-14 victory. Senior Gabe Williams, who accumulated 249 passing yards and picked up 80 yards on the ground, was a major factor in Lenoir City's success. Williams has been a consistent playmaker for Lenoir City as this was the 7th good game in a row from him.
Meanwhile, Stone Memorial were fully in charge, breezing past Macon County 42-7. With Stone Memorial ahead 28-7 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Their wins bumped Lenoir City to 3-4 and Stone Memorial to 7-0. Given their high-scoring efforts against their previous opponents, it will be interesting to see how far up these teams can run up the score.
