Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Saint Francis). They were the clear victors by a 19-2 margin over the Presentation Panthers on Wednesday. The victory was nothing new for the Lancers as they're now sitting on 12 straight.
Hailey Nguyen tossed a big game, striking out 12 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Those 12 strikeouts gave her a new career-high.
On the hitting side, Saint Francis let Ava Bulanti and Hayden Hummel run wild. Bulanti went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Hummel went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Hummel has posted since back in April of 2024. Jaime Oakland was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
