The Rocklin Thunder will head out to square off against the Saint Francis Lancers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rocklin is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.
Rocklin heads in on the heels of a playoff game last Saturday. They fell just short of Whitney by a score of 2-0. The Thunder's loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Payton Prior spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Rocklin saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Katie Wetteland, who went 1-for-2 with one double.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Saint Francis ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They came out on top against Willow Glen by a score of 9-6. The win was nothing new for the Lancers as they're now sitting on three straight.
Bianka Fisher and Lexi Fisher dominated on the mound. Bianka pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits, while Lexi pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.
On the hitting side, Peyton Tsao and Maya Yumiba did most of the damage at the plate: Tsao went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Yumiba went 2-for-4 with three runs and one stolen base. Hayden Hummel was another key player, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Rocklin's defeat dropped their record down to 22-6. As for Saint Francis, their victory bumped their record up to 27-3.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Rocklin hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .334. However, it's not like Saint Francis struggles in that department as they've averaged .412. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
