Diamond Bar scaled the state rankings by moving to 149 from 195 this week, the biggest jump in Hacienda. The Brahmas climbed the ranks as a result of topping Downey 63-29.
Diamond Bar took down the Vikings 63-29 last week, the largest margin of any game. Tyler Brown ran for 250 yards and caught 6 passes for 103 yards during the win.
Ryan Maine's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Tyler Peterson threw for 222 and 3 touchdowns and Brown had 103 yards receiving. On the ground Brown chipped in 250 yards. Cordell Broadus helped Diamond Bar's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 35 yards.
Brown was a passing and rushing force as the Brahmas defeated Downey.
He went 22-29 with 1 interception.
Brown was a beast in the backfield as Diamond Bar bested Jack Williams' team.
Peterson put up the best numbers in passing as the Brahmas bested the Vikings.
Diamond Bar's Peterson and Broadus have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-1 quarterback Peterson has thrown for 1,862 yards this season, while Broadus has 54 catches for 595 yards. Bonita's Payton Jake leads the league in rushing yards with 1,291.
Going into this week's contest against La Serna, the Brahmas' Peterson needs 138 passing yards to surpass 2,000 on the season.
Diamond Bar made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 1,620 from 2,356. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 63-29 victory over Downey last week.
