The Brighton Bengals will head out to challenge the Alta Hawks at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Brighton comes in on 17 and Alta on six.
While Brighton's victory against Jordan wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bengals had just enough and edged out the Beetdiggers 10-9 on Friday. Brighton's win was all the more impressive since the Beetdiggers were averaging only four runs allowed on the season.

Brighton got a great performance from Case Beames as he struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. That's the most strikeouts Beames has posted since back in March.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Riley Brown, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Jack Saba was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one triple.
Brighton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jordan only managed nine hits.
Meanwhile, Alta got the win against East on Friday by a conclusive 11-4. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won ten games by seven runs or more so far this season.
Derek Tate looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in seven consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Marco Aviles was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of McCoy Johnson, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one double.
Brighton pushed their record up to 17-2 with the victory, which was their 22nd straight at home dating back to last season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 9.2 runs. As for Alta, their record is now 16-3.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Brighton has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.4 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Alta struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 9.1 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Brighton was able to grind out a solid win over Alta in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 5-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bengals since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
