Softball Recap: Springstead Snags Seventh Victory in Last Eight Games

Springstead won the last time they faced Cypress Creek and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Eagles never let the Coyotes get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. Considering the Eagles have won five contests by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

RACHEL RIVERA was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

Springstead has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.9 runs over those games. As for Cypress Creek, they dropped their record down to 5-7 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Springstead will square off against Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles are facing the Bears at the right time seeing as the Bears are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Cypress Creek, they will venture away from home to take on Wiregrass Ranch at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
