Hillsdale will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Independence at 4:30 PM. It might come down to the wire as the game is expected to be close.
Hillsdale couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They found themselves the relunctant recipients of an unpleasant 6-38 punch to the gut against Miramonte last Friday.
Independence had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They were fully in charge last week, breezing past Evergreen Valley 43-0.
Independence's win lifted them to 1-0 while Hillsdale's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Independence can add another positive mark to their record or if Hillsdale can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Independence's step.
