Potlatch took the contest and then some with a 70-14 win over Troy last Friday. That looming 56-point mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Potlatch yet.
Meanwhile, Lapwai entered their game last Friday as the heavy favorite, and they fully lived up to expectations. They put a hurting on Kamiah to the tune of 60-18. The lopsided score is just par for the course this season for Lapwai, who can brag about six blowout wins.
Their wins bumped Potlatch to 4-3 and Lapwai to 6-2. Given their high-scoring efforts against their previous opponents, it will be interesting to see how far up these teams can run up the score.
