The Deer Park Wildcats are taking a road trip to challenge the Cincinnati Christian Cougars at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Cincinnati Christian took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Deer Park, who comes in off a win.
On Friday, Deer Park got the win against Northwest by a conclusive 20-8. Considering the Wildcats have won five matchups by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Rosalyn Stahley, who fired off four runs, four doubles, and five RBI while going 4-for-4. Those four doubles gave her a new career-high. Grace Louden was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Deer Park kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Cincinnati Christian scored first but ultimately less than Roger Bacon in their game on Friday. They fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 8-7. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Spartans recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
Kelsey Stacy spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and five unearned) runs on 12 hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Anna Bowling stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last four times she's played. Rachel Mullins also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Cincinnati Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Deer Park, their win bumped their record up to 7-8.
Monday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Deer Park hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .353. However, it's not like Cincinnati Christian struggles in that department as they've averaged .313. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Deer Park suffered a grim 25-9 defeat to Cincinnati Christian in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
