Two dominant  players in  Ally Hardwick and  Annie Onufrak are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Deer Trail Eagles will look to defend their home court  on Friday against the Weldon Valley Warriors at 5:00  p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another  in Colorado (Deer Trail is ranked 258th, while Weldon Valley is ranked 246th).
 Deer Trail posted their closest  win yet this season on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged Bethune out  28-26. The  victory was just what Deer Trail needed coming off of a  48-25 defeat in their prior  contest.
 Weldon Valley suffered their biggest  loss yet this season on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Otis, falling  55-14. Weldon Valley was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  30-6.
 The losing side was boosted by   Ellie Koch, who  scored two points along with six  rebounds and two  steals. She hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games.
 Deer Trail's victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Weldon Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.
 Deer Trail took their  victory against Weldon Valley  in their previous meeting  back in January of 2023 by a conclusive  47-22. Does  Deer Trail have another victory up their sleeve, or will Weldon Valley turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
