The Trona Tornadoes are taking a road trip to challenge the Boron Bobcats at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Trona has given up an average of 7 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Trona came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 13-3 to California City. The Tornadoes haven't had much luck with the Ravens recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Trona saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Amy Dabdoub, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. Dabdoub is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Alyssa Stephens also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Boron). Their pitcher stepped up to hand Immanuel Christian a 15-0 shutout on Thursday. With that victory, the Bobcats brought their scoring average up to 7 runs per game.
Keani York was incredible, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Makensie Crowe was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
Boron kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive games.
Trona's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Boron, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Boron's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Trona has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .472. It's a different story for Boron, though, as they've only averaged .357. Will they be able to contain Trona's hitters?
Trona came up short against Boron in their previous meeting last Friday, falling 5-2. Can the Tornadoes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
