The West Babylon Eagles entered their tilt with the West Islip Lions with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. West Babylon enjoyed a cozy 47-32 victory over West Islip on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as West Babylon also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2018.
West Babylon found their leader in underclassman Jaelynn Burgess, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Dockery, who scored 11 points.
West Babylon's victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-2. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 18.33 points. As for West Islip, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
West Babylon will be playing in front of their home fans against Huntington at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. West Islip does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
