The Hutchison Sting's's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Center Hill Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on November 30th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (Hutchison is ranked 47th in Tennessee, while Center Hill is ranked 45th in Mississippi).
Hutchison pushed their score all the way to 55 last Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 62-55 to Whitehaven.
Even though Center Hill has not done well against Southaven recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Center Hill was the clear victor by a 66-43 margin over Southaven. 66 seems to be a good number for Center Hill as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Center Hill can attribute much of their success to Jairya Rankins, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 10 rebounds, and Zarria Shipp, who scored 24 points along with 7 rebounds. The match was Rankins' third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ariel Nelson, who scored 6 points.
Hutchison's defeat dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Center Hill, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.
Hutchison came up short against Center Hill in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, falling 69-61. Can Hutchison avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
