Freeport hasn't had much luck against Hononegah recently, but that could start to change  on Monday. The Pretzels will welcome the Indians  at 4:30  p.m. Both come into the  contest bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
Having struggled with five  defeats in a row, Freeport  turned things around against Rockford Auburn  on Friday. They walked away with  a   6-3  win over the Knights.
 Diem Beach spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on three hits and racked up seven Ks.
 On the hitting side,  Quinn Krzeminiski was  incredible,  firing off two  home runs and three  runs while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances. That's the most  home runs  she has posted since back in March.
Meanwhile, Hononegah had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.4 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Heat  a   12-0 shutout. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by six  runs or more this season.
 Zoie Calhoun made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with two  RBI and one  double.
 In other batting news, Hononegah got a big performance out of  Kaelyn Kelly, who  got on base  in all three of her plate appearances with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Peyton Klikno, who  went 1-for-2 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  double.
 Hononegah's victory bumped their record up to 20-3. As for Freeport, their win bumped their record up to 7-20.
 Freeport couldn't quite get it done against Hononegah in their previous matchup  back in April as they fell  12-7. Will the Pretzels have more luck at home instead of on the road?  Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
