Basketball Recap: Howard Skates Past Academy for College and Career Exploration with Ease

Howard saw some tournament action on Friday. They breezed by Academy for College and Career Exploration to the tune of 78-28. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 40 points or more this season.

Nick Baysah was his usual excellent self, going 10 for 12 on his way to 23 points in addition to five boards and four steals. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 15.8 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Ronald Handy, who posted nine points and five rebounds.

Howard smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 15 offensive rebounds in three consecutive contests.

Howard now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Academy for College and Career Exploration, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 3-2.

Howard didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 63-56 win against Roswell on the 28th. As for Academy for College and Career Exploration, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 68-32 defeat against Centennial on the 28th.
