While Kolbe-Cathedral was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-19, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Newtown made easy work of Danbury on Saturday and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Nighthawks.

Kolbe-Cathedral now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Newtown, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-1.
